This sponsorship initiative follows KCB’s prior commitment of shs80 million towards facilitating the organization of the forthcoming Pearl of Africa Rally, spanning across Jinja, Kakira, Source of the Nile, Bujagala, and Kamuli road, from May 9 to 12.

Diana Komukama Ssempebwa, KCB’s Head of Marketing and Communications, emphasized the bank’s dedication to nurturing sporting talent and enriching Uganda’s athletic landscape.

Ssempebwa stated, “KCB Bank Uganda takes great pride in extending our sponsorship to Micheal Mukula Jr, Oscar Ntambi, and Karan Patel, underscoring our unwavering support for sports and our commitment to enhancing the performance of both local and regional drivers. We acknowledge the unifying influence of sports within our communities, recognizing its pivotal role in driving national development and fostering a better quality of life in Uganda.”

The bank’s contribution of shs80 million towards organizing this year’s Pearl of Africa Rally, coupled with the shs60 million sponsorship allocated to drivers, not only provides a platform for showcasing the remarkable talents of local and regional drivers but also cultivates a culture of excellence and camaraderie within the rallying fraternity.

Expressing gratitude for KCB’s enduring support, seasoned champion Karan Patel lauded the bank’s consistent backing, stating, “I am honored to receive sponsorship from KCB Bank for the second time, underscoring the bank’s steadfast commitment to nurturing my talent.”

Echoing Patel’s sentiments, Micheal George Mukula Jr expressed his appreciation, remarking, “We are deeply grateful for KCB Bank’s unwavering belief in our capabilities. With this sponsorship, we are motivated to push our boundaries, not only for the pride of our sponsors but also for the glory of Uganda.”

Oscar Ntambi conveyed his confidence in the team’s preparations, asserting, “We are confident in our readiness. Drawing from our performance, experience, and accomplishments, we are poised to compete fiercely and give our best effort.”
