Kikuube Police are hunting for two men accused of hacking a woman to death.
The suspects are wanted in connection to the brutal killing of 30-year-old Jenety Mbelinga, a resident of Nyanseke village Kaseeta parish Kabwoya Sub County on Thursday evening.
Mbelinga was reportedly attacked on her way from the garden where she had gone to cut a bunch of bananas. She was reportedly intercepted by her brother in-law who pounded on her together with another man.
They reportedly hacked the deceased on the head, face, chest and tummy before fleeing to unknown destination. Residents responded to the deceased’s alarm but found her already dead.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, says inquiries into the attack have commenced. He says Mbelinga succumbed to injuries she sustained in the attack.
