Museveni said that all primary and secondary schools, university and other institutions of learning would be closed starting Friday, March 20, 2020 for one month.

He further directed that all religious gatherings in Churches, Mosques be suspended for a month with immediate effect.
“Yes, we have been praying together, it has got its advantages but if it has got a danger, then surely logically, we cannot insist. The religious leaders can use Television Stations, Radio Stations to continue preaching,” he said.
Museveni said that Ugandans can continue praying within their residences.
