Tunisia’s victory was sealed by a superb performance from Achouri, who added two goals—one just before halftime and the other shortly after the hour mark. Skhiri’s header in the 10th minute set the tone for the match, while Achouri doubled the lead just before the break. He completed his brace after the hour mark, scoring from a rebound.

Uganda fought back late in the game, with Denis Omedi scoring a deflected goal in stoppage time, but it was little more than a consolation. Despite the late goal, Tunisia remained firmly in control throughout the match.
