President Museveni speaks out on domestic violence
President Museveni said beating women is cowardly. “Why should you fight a woman who is weaker than you? “ If you want to fight look for fellow men. We should explain that beating women is cowardly. Museveni called for the economic empowerment of women. He said beating is tied to economic dependence. The president was addressing a gathering at the International Women’s Day in Mbale.
Women religious leaders lead prayers
