COVID-19: Central Motor Club donates food to vulnerable Ugandans

Vice-President, Kakeeto Saeed Ali handed over the items today to Minister of General Duties, Mary Karoro Okurut at Office of the Prime Minister

Central Motor Club (CMC), a member of the 15 motorsports clubs that make up the Federation of Motorsports Clubs of Uganda (FMU) has donated food supplies to support the government’s efforts to combat COVID-19 pandemic.

The Club under its incoming adiminstration also contributed sh1m to FMU’s Emergency Response Ambulance initiative and also donated food items such as posho(400kgs), beans (205kgs, rice (150kgs) and washing soap(500 bars) to the National COVID-19 Taskforce.

Saeed said Central Motor Club is privileged to be the first Sports entity in Uganda to support the cause and pledged continued support.

“We feel proud that we have contributed this and  encourage other sports organisations to get involved and help vulnerable Ugandans who are in need of food during this lockdown,” he said.
