Body Exhumed from Ex-Jinja Education Officer’s Home in Gruesome Ritual Killing

The Jessica Mutesi exhumation confirmed suspicions of a ritual sacrifice. Authorities exhumed her body after obtaining a court order. DNA forensic analysis is underway to gather more details about her death. This revelation has shocked the community, and the investigation continues to unfold.

Police spokesman, Mr. James Mubi, confirmed that after securing a court order, authorities exhumed Jessica’s remains. They transported her body to the City Mortuary in Kampala for DNA forensic analysis. Her disappearance began in April when her relatives reported her missing. They claimed kidnappers had demanded ransom for her release. However, as the investigation progressed, police uncovered a much darker truth.

Police arrested several suspects, and they later confessed to killing Jessica as part of a ritual sacrifice. The investigation revealed that Amina Mutesi, a key figure in the case, played a significant role. According to police reports, Amina allegedly hired a casual worker from Njeru Division, Buikwe District. She offered Shs3 million to help her find a “human being for a ritual sacrifice.” The worker enlisted another colleague, and together, they arranged for Jessica to meet them.

Once Jessica arrived, the suspects took her to Amina’s home. They gave her a room in the boys’ quarters. The following night, the suspects strangled Jessica to death. Police believe they buried her within Amina’s property. After her death, the suspects became upset. Amina had paid only Shs500,000 of the agreed Shs3 million. This caused friction between her and the men who had carried out the crime. They demanded the remainder of the money but received no further payment. The dispute further complicated the case and led to additional arrests.

While the DNA forensic analysis has provided valuable information, the investigation continues. Police in Sezibwa Police Region are working on a court order to exhume a second site. This location could reveal more about where the suspects first buried Jessica, as they claimed.

The case of Jessica Mutesi’s exhumation continues to develop, and authorities remain committed to finding justice. As the forensic analysis progresses, police are determined to uncover the truth. They will hold those responsible accountable, and Jessica’s grieving family hopes for justice.
