A group of individuals, including a prominent city boxer, have been arrested by the Police Flying Squad Unit for their suspected involvement in a series of school attacks in Wakiso District.
The attacks began in February, shortly after the opening of both government and private schools, and have since spread to other districts. During the attacks, the perpetrators would disable school guards before stealing valuables and money from school accounts and computer rooms.
The suspects were apprehended from various locations in the city suburbs, with most being picked up from their gym in Lubya parish. The investigation is ongoing, with the suspects facing charges of aggravated murder and robbery.
The detectives have collected evidence from the different crime scenes and are awaiting scientific evidence from the police forensic team and the Government Analytical Laboratory (GAL) to link the suspects to the crimes.
