The exact cause of Lubwama’s death has not been disclosed, but it is reported that he succumbed to a heart attack at Stana Medical Center in Bunamwaya, where he frequently underwent periodic checkups due to his history of heart complications.

In March 2022, he was hospitalized for heart complications, which led to his subsequent transfer to Turkey for a successful operation.
