Uganda’s First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Maama Janet Museveni, led a prayer session in which she thanked God for the blessings bestowed upon the country. During the prayer, she expressed gratitude for the growing spirit of unity in Uganda and the region.
Maama Janet also acknowledged President Yoweri Museveni’s leadership and his firm stance against external pressures, particularly in the context of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill. She highlighted the importance of the country’s peace and security, giving thanks to the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) for their sacrifices in maintaining peace.
In addition to giving thanks, the First Lady called for a spirit of repentance among Ugandans, emphasizing that repentance does not necessarily imply wrongdoing but can signify a change of mindset. She encouraged a commitment to transparency and the importance of aligning actions with words.
