COVID-19: Uganda confifrms 11 more cases making a total of 44

In a presser telecast live on a National TV, President Museveni said the 11 new cases bring the total number of confirmed cases to 44.

ENTEBBE | Uganda has confirmed eleven new cases of coronavirus, the President, Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni announced on Tuesday night.


In a presser telecast live on a National TV, President Museveni said the 11 new cases bring the total number of confirmed cases to 44.


According to the President all the new patients are Ugandan of Watoto Children Chior who travelled from United Kingdom on 20 March 2020. They were 10 adults and 12 children. They intercepted at Entebbe Airport and put in mandatory Quarantine at Entebbe Hospital.

“All the eleven cases are Watoto children Choir Ugandans who travelled back from United Kingdom on March 20”

Said President Museveni

It should be noted that, more than 820,000 people have been confirmed to have the virus, and at least 174,000 have recovered. More than 40,000 people have died around the world.
