Kabaka Mutebi Leaves for Overseas Medical Assessment

Kabaka Mutebi, the King of Buganda, has traveled abroad for a medical review as part of his ongoing recovery. This visit will allow specialists to assess his health progress and provide further guidance for his treatment.

Charles Peter Mayiga, the Katikkiro of Buganda, addressed the Kingdom, reassuring the public that the Kabaka’s health is steadily improving. He emphasized the collaboration between local and international medical teams to ensure a comprehensive and effective recovery plan.

“The doctors have advised us not to involve him in official duties until he is fully fit,” Mayiga said. He also mentioned that the Kabaka traveled in “good spirits and good health,” highlighting his positive condition. The Kabaka’s recent public appearances have comforted his subjects, reinforcing that his health continues to improve. His upbeat disposition has been a source of hope for the people of Buganda.

Mayiga further emphasized that Kabaka Mutebi‘s well-being remains a top priority for the Kingdom. His health is vital to the strength and unity of Buganda. The monarch’s recovery serves as a symbol of hope and stability for the people of Buganda. It reassures the Kingdom that the strength of the monarchy is intact, despite the challenges of his health.

During his 70th birthday celebrations, the Kabaka expressed his gratitude to those who have supported him, especially the medical professionals who have provided exceptional care. The King acknowledged their dedication and hard work throughout his treatment journey.

Mayiga, along with other senior officials, escorted the Kabaka to Entebbe International Airport, marking the beginning of his continued recovery process abroad. The Kingdom’s leaders stand united in ensuring that the Kabaka’s health remains a top priority.

The Kingdom of Buganda looks forward to the Kabaka’s full recovery and his eventual return to resume his leadership responsibilities. His journey abroad highlights the importance of global collaboration in providing the best care and treatment for the King.
