Meet Ugaman, the force behind many successful brands on digital platforms in Uganda and beyond.

Mwebya Fred popularly known as Ugaman has made a name for himself in the digital business space in Kampala. When you hear the name Ugaman, many people in East Africa will quickly talk about the Twitter genius that has supported many businesses and reputable individuals leverage on the power of social media. Fred happily speaks about his passion in story telling inspired content creation journey that has seen him touch many brands on digital platforms.

He was born on March 28, 1989 in Bukomansimbi District formerly part of Masaka District to the late Ssekiyondo Peregrino and  Nassuna  Fausta of Kawoko Butenga. He attended Hill Top Academy Primary School in Sseguku Wakiso District. He then attended Ndejje Senir Secondary School in Luwero District for his Ordinary Level and Namilyango College in Mukono District for Advanced Level. Fred then joined Makerere University Business School in Kampala where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Bsc.Finance.

Ugaman is the founder of Tout Media Africa, a freelance digital media agency that brings influencers together to support businesses through social media campaigns. He is also the founder of Ugandans On Twitter Night, a social networking event that brings together more than 500 social media users every week to network and share opportunities.

He is also known for his brilliant designing and execution of social media strategies for various brands in different industries to achieve top notch business results through maximum leverage on social media platforms. Currently he has a following of 142,000 followers on Twitter and more than 12,000 connections on LinkedIn.

Fred has trained over 1,000 youths on the proper usage of social media to generate income. These include social media influencers, content managers and social media page managers. He was also one of the first President of Ugandans On Twitter (UOT) before handing over to former Police AIGP Asan Kasingye. Ugaman uses a double approach in his strategies which include unique engaging content and controversial marketing that triggers his audiences to engage on his conversations.
