Museveni meets young tycoon Hamis Kiggundu

Young tycoon Hamis Kiggundu has been in the news for constructing a multi-billion pad on the shores of Lake Victoria.

Ham shows Museveni his plans for Nakivubo Stadium.

The young man who owns Ham Towers opposite Makerere University met President Yoweri Museveni yesterday.

The president me the young businessman over his re-development of Nakivubo Stadium project.

The project under a Public Private Partnership arrangement will see Ham Enterprises redevelop the stadium to include over 100 lock up shops and other sports facilities.

KCCA had halted the plan in late 2013 when Ham started construction, after agreeing with Nakivubo Stadium management on the development.

At the time Ham’s plans were halted, KCCA was still reviewing his plan.

Now president Museveni has endorsed the project and work will go on.

According to the deal, Ham will manage the stadium for an initial four years with a one year grace period of not remitting income to Nakivubo Stadium management, to recover his investment.
