Government has resolved to among others, impose night curfew, ban private cars and ensure total lockdown as soon as immediately, for two weeks.

In a meeting held Sunday night, experts advised that restricting private cars to three occupants is equally risky.

To this, a ban on private cars and ensuring total lockdown was agreed upon.

“In a tough fight, some people have to be sacrificed and tough decisions made on time. We cannot save everybody,” Health Minister, Ruth Aceng is quoted to have said.

In our briefing, on security personnel and health workers will escape the lockdown.

President Yoweri Museveni is expected to announce these new measures in his address at 8pm tonight.
